Composite Materials Design and Manufacturing

Klinger Engineering's new Composite Materials Design and Manufacturing Division is the planned extension of more than two decades of successful projects accomplished by Bob Klinger, Klinger Engineering's CEO while working for organizations such as the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, B&R Plastics, and National Nonwovens.

Operating from a new 12,000 square foot facility in Whately, MA, with plans on the drawing board for an 8,000 square foot addition with extended ceiling height, Klinger Engineering has the capacity for small and large-scale prototyping as well as pilot-run manufacturing and follow-on production. Klinger Engineering's knowledge of and experience in composites tooling and manufacturing utilizing prepreg, vacuum infusion, wetpreg, and hand lay-up processes in cored and non-cored structures, as well as our ability to finish parts to a Class A finish in our 70' long baking paint booth, means that we can work with a wide variety of composites and related materials. Projects currently in production or under consideration include industrial and military applications, custom finished art pieces such as sculpture and furniture, race car parts, motorcycle accessories, and marine components. Our technical staff has years of mixed media experience in lay-up, molding, finishing, and unique coating applications.
